The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is a leading institution in engineering and technology in Spain. Founded in 1971 through the integration of various Technical Schools, some of which date back to the 18th century, UPM has built a strong academic and research tradition. Currently, the university has over 30,000 students, more than 2,800 researchers distributed across 220 research groups, and a teaching staff of over 2,600 professors.
